At Villa Di Bagno a Bridgerton style wedding, candlelit dinner under the stars.
Details and cutlery in gold, flowers, blue, powder, pink and ivory are a dream
It all started with the color palette that the bride wanted and I went crazy as soon as I saw it.
He shared many photos and an inspirational mood board that he had found online, from the beginning I was daydreaming, I couldn’t wait to make it all happen.
The color palette
We started with petrol green, gold, pink and blush. For me it was beautiful and perfect like this, then during construction the green was replaced with blue.
And so it was, the predominant colors of the wedding were blue and gold, the rest were to support the floral arrangement and other details that I will explain to you along the way.
The location of this Bridgerton style wedding
Villa Di Bagno in Bancole di Porto Mantovano in the province of Mantua together with Fulvia the owner, was the perfect place for this wedding.
The Villa is arranged on three floors and is surrounded by a centuries-old garden where all the elements of the artistic movement which inspires it are found.
The lake, the small temple, a Gothic tower, and more natural elements, such as the cave and the mound.
The candlelit dinner in front of Villa Di Bagno was a daydream, it felt like being on a film set.
The arrangements, the flowers and the invitations
It all started from the color palette which we then connected, where possible, in each area and setup of the wedding.
The invitations were blue and gold, a cover with a resealable pocket that became an envelope, as a closure we used a satin ribbon and gold lacquer wax with the bride and groom’s personalized logo.
The slightly iridescent midnight blue paper with the gold ink created a perfect mix.
Essential, clean and elegant graphics, calligraphic style font with invitation, R.S.V.P and timeline of the day.
The dinner tables with ivory tablecloth and pickled Chiavarina chairs were arranged in the garden in front of the villa, the scenic effect was beautiful. (see the photo on the cover)
The mise en place, gold cutlery, charger with blue and gold edge, crystal glasses worked with gold wire, in the center a 5-armed gold candelabra with candles.
At the base, small bouquets of flowers in gold vases and mixes of tealights with crafted glass and gold jars.
The table is marked by a gold mirrored frame with pedestal.
The tableau de mariage was perfectly matched to the mood of the wedding.
A large baroque style mirror with the names of the guests and tables written by the calligrapher as the table marker.
The wedding cake
The three-tier cake was also blue and gold, made as per the sketch created specifically for the bride and groom by myself.
It was exciting to see her live. A one-of-a-kind cake due to the unusual choice of colors. The guests were enthusiastic, so many details and workmanship had a wow effect.
The lighting of Villa Di Bagno
As evening fell, as if by magic, the carefully designed garden lighting framed and made the dinner in front of the villa suggestive, creating a dreamlike atmosphere.
The trees, the turret, the villa and the pond seemed to have a life of their own, a marvel.
The fireworks
The fireworks show after the cake cutting, to the tune ofNessun d’Orma with the voice of maestro Pavarotti, was an added value to this Bridgerton-style wedding and kicked off the party and dancing until late at night.
How the connection with Bridgerton was born
After publishing a reel on my instagram page Rosy from Le Torte di Giada who made the wedding cake, published a TikTok with my reel entitled “Welcome to Bridgerton” actually looking at it from another profile and perspective it really looked like a wedding Bridgerton style.
And so the idea was born to dedicate this blog describing the project and behind the scenes of the wedding to the much loved and famous Bridgerton series.
I really liked it, as did the spouses and guests who gave a lot of compliments and were very enthusiastic about the choice of details and the original cake.
